Michael Krzywicki is an attorney and counselor to clients in and outside the courtroom as a trial and appellate lawyer, as well as in-house and corporate counsel. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and counseling matters involving insurance, financial services, and corporate governance. Michael represents corporate clients in state and federal court and in arbitration and mediation, with experience spanning both prosecution and defense of high-stakes disputes.

Michael has extensive experience handling commercial and insurance-related litigation, including director and officer liability matters, fiduciary duty claims, executive compensation disputes, discrimination claims, and contractual and regulatory compliance issues. He regularly develops litigation strategy, manages discovery, and successfully resolves matters through motion practice, alternative dispute resolution, and trial, with numerous cases dismissed or resolved on summary judgment.

In addition to his litigation practice, Michael has counseled companies on claims handling practices, business operations, fintech, annuity and insurance products, securities, and regulatory compliance. His transactional experience includes advising on commercial real estate matters, intellectual property and media licensing, and corporate governance.

Michael has also participated in complex multi-district litigation and large-scale commercial matters, including antitrust and shareholder class actions, and has worked closely with federal and state enforcement agencies in parallel proceedings.

Prior to entering legal practice, Michael worked in the financial services industry in a supervisory and compliance capacity, providing him with a practical understanding of regulated markets, risk management, and corporate operations.

Michael is admitted to practice in New York, Florida, and Illinois, as well as multiple federal district courts and U.S. Courts of Appeals. He has published and lectured on constitutional, corporate governance, and regulatory topics and serves as a judge for the ABA National Appellate Moot Court Competition.
